The Faxon Firearms ARAK-21 AR-15 5.56 NATO Upper Receiver with Picatinny Handguard is a modular, piston-driven upper designed for versatility and durability. Machined from 6061-T6 aircraft-grade billet aluminum, this upper receiver group boasts a full-length flat-top rail, coupled with a quad-rail-style handguard, providing ample attachment space for effortless mounting of optics, lights, and accessories. The dual-reciprocating design eliminates the need for a buffer tube, allowing for a more compact, folding-stock compatible build. A long-stroke, adjustable gas piston system ensures smooth, reliable cycling, while an integral gas block cleaning port simplifies maintenance. The upper includes an ambidextrous, non-reciprocating charging handle and a swappable ejection port, making it fully adaptable for right- or left-handed shooters. Its self-contained firing pin retention system is built into a rectangular bolt carrier, removing the need for a cotter pin. A hardened steel rail system offers a durable metal-on-metal surface for consistent, smooth bolt carrier operation.
