Armscor

Founded in the Philippines in 1905, Armscor® began as a humble general trading store, selling a variety of clothing items, firearms, ammunition, and other quality items under the name Squires, Bingham & Co, before being bought in 1930 and renamed to Sportsmen’s Headquarters. Entrepreneur Don Celso Tuason bought the company at the start of WWII, and again renamed the company in 1952 to Squires Bingham Manufacturing Inc., and obtained the first firearms manufacturing license from the government before opening plants across the country and providing thousands of manufacturing jobs to help rebuild the post-war Philippines. 

Armscor operated under the Squires Bingham Manufacturing Inc. name until 1980 when the company was reorganized and renamed Arms Corporation of the Philippines, or “Armscor” for short. In 1985, Armscor Precision International opened its first office in the United States, located in Pahrump, Nevada before acquiring the iconic Rock Island Armory brand.
