A shielded-release latch prevents snagging and accidental activation while providing quick and easy length adjustments while a sloping cheek weld creates a slim profile for optimal user comfort. Further, a thick rubber butt pad provides positive shouldering to help prevent slipping, especially when using body armor or modular gear.
