Featuring 8620 Tool Steel (Carrier) and 9310 Steel (Bolt) construction the Aero Precision® AR-10 .308 / 7.62 Bolt Carrier Group is a performance-enhanced AR-10 BCG, designed to deliver improved field service in any shooting application. Built to withstand heavy pressures with hot .308/7.62 loads, this complete BCG boasts a precision-machined 9310 steel bolt, finished with a proprietary flash nitride process to withstand extreme temperatures and pressures. All external bolt surfaces are CNC-ground and deburred for a precision fit and reliable function with .308, 7.62x51, .338 Federal, and other .308-based cartridges. The enhanced 4340 steel extractor features double O-ring seals and double springs to ensure smooth and consistent operation with hot loads, while the precision-ground and nitride-finished 8640 steel firing pin reduces the risk of light primer strikes for enhanced reliability and consistency. The hardened 4140 steel gas key is properly staked and torqued to military specifications with grade 8 hex fasteners for superior strength and rigidity. Plus, this AR-10 BCG features CNC-machined forward-assist serrations, allowing you to force the bolt into battery if necessary, and is magnetic particle inspected and high pressure-tested for a reduced risk of jams and mechanical failures.
