Released in mid-2023, the Springfield Armory® is an optics-ready striker-fired pistol, specifically geared toward duty and self-defense applications. Designed around the same ergonomics and polymer frame profile as the renowned Hellcat Pro platform, the Echelon features a built-in trigger safety and the all-new Central Operating Group (COG). Employing cutting-edge manufacturing techniques, the COG is entirely self-contained and serialized, allowing it to be easily moved between grip modules in a matter of seconds. The Melonite®-coated and hammer-forged barrel offers superior accuracy and long-lasting service life, and the stainless steel slide features four distinct engagement surfaces, including a trench cut forward of the action for natural index location for press checks and charging, a flared rear for a positive purchase, and deep forward and rear serrations for a firm grip from any angle. The traditional 3-dot sight system offers quick, intuitive target acquisition in any personal defense application. Further, the Echelon's slide comes equipped with Springfield’s patent-pending “Variable Interface System," allowing you to quickly attach nearly 30 handgun optics without any mounting plates or spacers. If that's not enough, the Springfield Echelon is highly modular, allowing users to switch between grip modules for a customizable fit and finish.

What is the standard Springfield Echelon magazine capacity?

Factory-OEM Echelon mags are available in 17- and 20-round configurations. Blacked out in an all-new scratch- and wear-resistant coating, Echelon mags are designed to withstand heavy use and abuse in duty applications. There are also 10-round magazines available for users in restricted states.
