HK VP9SK Magazines

About the HK VP9SK
The HK® VP9SK® (subkompakt) is the sub-compact version of the iconic VP9 pistol, a German-engineered striker-fired centerfire pistol introduced in 2014. The VP9SK features enhanced ergonomics for improved comfort and control and boasts an improved, HK-engineered “light trigger,” engineered to deliver a short take-up with a solid, single-action type break followed by a short, positive reset. The VP trigger offers an exceptionally comfortable pull and crisp trigger break, resulting in faster, more accurate follow-up shots and improved control with virtually any shooter.

The VP9SK also comes equipped with an incredibly strong high-carbon steel slide with a corrosion- and scratch-resistant nitro-carburized finish for lasting strength and reliability in any defensive or offensive environment. The powerful night sights are adjustable for both windage and elevation, while the cannon-grade steel barrel features a polygonal bore profile for enhanced service life and improved muzzle velocity. Plus, the barrel was tested in 2010 to withstand more than 90,000 rounds, delivering an impressive service life you can truly depend on.

Further, the VP9SK comes equipped with ambidextrous controls, including identical extended slide releases on both sides of the frame, as well as an ambidextrous paddle-style magazine release just to the rear of the trigger guard. Ambidextrous finger recesses, located on the bottom sides of the magazine well, allow both right- and left-handed shooters to secure a spent magazine for faster reloads, while the high-strength polymer frame features improved ergonomics with molded finger grooves and interchangeable grip panels and backstraps for a comfortable, non-slip grip with all hand sizes. Plus, the extended frame-mounted 1913 Picatinny rail readily accepts a wide variety of weapon lights, laser sights, and other tactical accessories.

What is a striker-fired fire system?
Striker-fired pistols have quickly become the most trusted and best-selling defensive and tactical pistols on the market.  With a striker-fired handgun, there is no hammer present. Instead of pulling an external hammer with your thumb, or utilizing an internal hammer operated by a sear and trigger pull, striker-fired pistols required the slide to be pulled rearward, or “racked” back and released forward, pulling the firing pin rearward and capturing it under spring tension. The trigger releases the striker mechanism, allowing the spring tension to release and force the pin forward to strike the primer, firing the round in the chamber. Because there is no hammer to cock or release, the trigger pull of most striker-fired pistols is incredibly easy to pull and has low pull weights, allowing shooters of all shapes and sizes to operate the firearm more reliably under extreme stress.
