The barrel extension is coated with nickel Teflon, delivering natural dry lubricity and superior corrosion resistance while ensuring a tighter fit between the extension and receiver. The 1:10 twist and recessed target crown ensure maximum accuracy potential with most .308 hollow-point and solid-point loads, and the factory-machined 5/8x24 threads (thread protector NOT included) readily accept a variety of muzzle brakes, flash hiders, and suppressor mounts.
