Founded in 1996 by Louis Imperato and his son Anthony Imperato in Brooklyn, New York, Henry Repeating Arms® takes its name from Benjamin Tyler Henry, the inventor who patented the first repeating rifle in 1860, known as the Henry rifle. Though there is no affiliation or lineage to Benjamin Tyler Henry or to the original New Haven Arms Company, who sold the original Henry rifle from 1862 to 1864, the Henry name of today is synonymous with quality, innovation, and reliability. The first model produced was the Henry H001 Classic Lever Action .22LR with the first shipments being delivered in March 1997. The H001 was an instant success, with more than 100 models being introduced to the market since.

Today, Henry Repeating Arms is headquartered in Rice Lake, Wisconsin and employs over 550 people across 2 manufacturing facilities, totaling more than 250,000 square feet. Known best for their impeccable accuracy and superior quality, and celebrated by their tagline “Made in America or Not Made at All,” Henry Repeating Rifles is favored by American sporting shooters and hunters nationwide.
