Jack and Teresa Starnes started J&T Munitions and were one of the first civilian sales outlets for popular brands like GG&G, Knights Armament, and Magpul. As the popularity of AR-15 kits and quality rifles grew, Teresa Starnes and her son founded Doublestar Corp. as a rifle manufacturer.
