Arcadia Machine & Tool®, better known as AMT, was founded in 1977 in Irwindale, California, manufacturing a variety of pistol and rifle clones until their closing in 2001. In 2005, Crusader Gun Co. of Houston, Texas purchased the rights to multiple AMT firearm models.
