About the Kel-Tec Sub-2000
Specifically engineered for home defense and target shooting applications, the Kel-Tec® Sub-2000 is an innovative, blowback-operated pistol-caliber carbine, favored by new and experienced tactical and home defense shooters across the country. Featuring a unique folding design allows users to fold the carbine down to a compact and easy-to-carry package, while the full-length rail and built-in MLOK® slots readily accept a variety of sights, optics, tactical lights, and other accessories. The receiver is made of an impact-resistant glass reinforced Zytel polymer, while the reciprocating charging handle and recoil spring are positioned in the rear buffer tube for intuitive manipulation, quick deployment, and tool-free takedown. The hinged block is securely locked in place by a swiveling trigger guard, allowing the carbine to fold down in a snap, and the receiver securely attaches to the stock by way of durable steel lugs for superior strength and reliability. The 4130 ordnance steel barrel boasts a spring-loaded collar to ensure an accurate lock between the receiver and the polymer forend. Folding is accomplished by pulling downward on the trigger guard and swinging the barrel assembly back over the top of the rifle and securing the barrel assembly to the integral buttstock latch for safe storage and carry as the gun cannot be fired when folded.
