Rock River Arms, the Illinois-based manufacturer of some of the most popular Modern Sporting Rifles and pistols on the market today, has released a new long-range rifle with the RRA XM24 Tactical. This new rifle is in a precision rifle configuration and is compatible with either .308 Winchester or .338 Lapua.
Designed to fill the performance needs of defense professionals and special tactics members, the new RRA XM24 Tactical rifle fills that need. Built around MDT’s ESS non-folding chassis, the rifle uses a 26-inch heavy-contour stainless steel barrel. These barrels have been air-gauged for maximum bore precision and cryo-treated for stability and predictable harmonics.
The rifles feature a proprietary 700-style receiver and barrel nut system for a secure and accurate alignment and fit. To swap out barrels, owners can use the provided crow-foot wrench to loosen the barrel nut and change to the desired barrel. The system has a guaranteed accuracy potential of less than ½ MOA when using premium ammunition, according to RRA, with the accuracy coming from the twist rates for bullet stability.
Additional features of the RRA XM24 Tactical rifle are an oversized bolt handle and a single-stage precision TriggerTech Primary system for exacting performance. The rifle includes a 20 MOA base scope rail from the factory and comes with a 5-round detachable box magazine.
The XM24 Tactical rifle is a guaranteed precision rifle designed to be mission-deployable straight out of the box. The XM24 Tactical has an overall length of just over 46” long and an unloaded weight of 13.2 pounds. The RRA XM24 Tactical rifle has an MSRP of $5,265.
