Wilson Combat has announced the release of a new series of rifles, the Tactical Ultralight rifles. These rifles are at the crossroads of extremely lightweight bodies and fast-handling tactical platforms, offering top-tier features for consumers.
Wilson Combat worked to match the company’s Mil-Spec Forged receiver set with an adjustable Rogers Super-Stoc and a lightweight barrel to deliver the new Tactical Ultralight rifle series. Available in 5.56 NATO, .300 Blackout, and .300 HAM’R, the new series of rifles is the latest in a series of customizable rifles from Wilson Combat.
With the forged receiver set, the flat-top top receiver and lower receiver make up the rifle’s foundation. The rifle comes ready for action with a threaded 16” round Ultralight Hunter profile match-grade barrel and installed Q-COMP. The system is a mid-length gas system with a low-profile gas block and a nickel boron low-mass bolt carrier assembly. Housing the barrel and gas block is the light yet strong 10.4” Wilson Combat M-LOK rail, providing plenty of space for accessories.
The lower receiver features a Mission First tactical grip and the crisp Wilson Combat M2 Tactical Trigger Unit. With a Wilson Combat/Rogers Super-Stoc and standard buffer with a standard Mil-Spec buffer spring, the rifle is comfortable and reliable. The rifle series has an overall length of 33.25” and an unloaded weight of 5 pounds 9 ounces at most with the 300 HAM’R.
The rifle is durable and light thanks to the Armor-Tuff finish over the Mil-Spec hard anodizing on the upper and lower receivers. The Wilson Combat Tactical Ultralight rifle series can be built to meet California-compliant specs for those folks living in restricted states. The Tactical Ultralight rifle series is available now and has an MSPR of $2,150 for the 5.56 NATO and .300 HAM’R and an MSRP of $2,225 for the .300 BLK option.
