Mossberg Launches 500, 835, and 940 Turkey Holosun Combo Shotguns

Turkey are weary birds and if you want any chance at bagging one, you will need every advantage. They pick up on color as well as a dog can smell and to take them out without meat damage, this game only allows headshots. What better way to solve both problems than with Mossberg‘s new 500, 835, and 940 Pro Turkey models–three of the firm’s most proven shotguns, now with a Holosun Micro Dot ready from the factory.

Mossberg 940 Pro Turkey
Mossberg is pleased to announce the introduction of the Model 500, 835, and 940 Pro Turkey shotguns–now with a Holosun Micro Dot installed from the factory.

The venerable synthetic stocked Mossberg 500 Holosun Combo is available in three different models. The first two are an adult-length model with a 20-inch vented barrel in either .410 bore or 20-gauge with a 5+1 capacity. The last is the kid-friendly Mossberg 500 Bantam model in 20-gauge. It has the same 5+1 tube capacity and can shoot up to three-inch shells, but it comes with a short 12-inch buttstock with adjustable spacers so young shooters can grow with their shotgun.

The 20-inch barreled Model 835 Ulti-Mag has the benefit of using readily available 12-gauge ammunition. It has the same 5+1 capacity using 2 3/4-inch shells, but it will cycle and shoot 3 1/2-inch magnum turkey loads at will.

The 940 Pro Turkey is the same autoloader with the same corrosion-resistant nickel-boron coated internal parts as the tactical models that have been proven the world over. The Turkey Model has a similar 18.5-inch barrel and a tube that holds 4+1 of up to 3-inch shells.

All models come in the same Mossy Oak Greenleaf camouflage pattern as well as a hearty olive-coated Holosun 407K micro red dot and fiber optic front sights from the factory. The Model 835 comes with an AccuMag-compatible Ulti-Full choke, while the others come with an X-Full Accuchoke. The Model 500 Combo models have an MSRP of $844, while the 835 comes in at $895. The 940 Pro Turkey Combo retails for $1406. Depending on your stature and hunting environment, any of these setups will do the trick. All models are shipping now just in time for the spring turkey season.
