The Mossberg 590 Thunder Ranch model is a pump-action, 12-gauge shotgun based on the company’s legendary 500. Accordingly, this shotgun features non-binding twin action bars, positive steel-to-steel lock-up and anti-jam elevator, dual extractors, drilled and tapped receivers, and an ambidextrous tang safety. Also part of the Thunder Ranch family of guns is the 940 Pro Thunder Ranch, a semi-automatic 12-gauge. Features of the 940 include an enlarged and beveled loading port, elongated elevator, bright orange anodized follower, extended knurled charging handle, paddle-style bolt release, and 8-round capacity. Furthermore, the shotgun also has dual-sided M-LOK compatible slots to easily add aftermarket accessories.

This shotgun features a 30-inch vent rib barrel with three extended Briley choke tubes (Skeet, Modified, and Improved Cylinder) and HIVIZ CompSight fiber optic front sight. In addition, an eye-catching blue anodized magazine tube cap and charging handle compliment the receiver’s 940 Pro logo. Also new to the sporting lineup is the 940 Pro Sporting Super Bantam, a slim shotgun that’s user-adjustable so it can be fit to the shooter.

On the tactical side, the Mossberg 940 Pro Tactical 12-gauge includes two new Cerakote colors: OD Green and FDE. These shotguns ship from the factory with optics-ready receivers, making adding a red dot sight easy.

MSRP for the new Mossberg shotguns varies by model.
