Savage 110 Ultralite Elite Rifles: New for 2024

To ring in the new year, Savage has expanded its family of rifles and has joined forces with PROOF Research and MDT again to do it. The new 110 Ultralite Elite rifle takes a one-of-a-kind PROOF barrel built especially for the rifle and matches it with an MDT chassis system and the Savage 110 action to deliver an extremely lightweight rifle system geared towards backcountry hunters and shooters.

The PROOF barrel, specifically designed for the rifle system, is a carbon fiber-wrapped stainless steel product for the family of rifles and ranges in length from 18 inches to 20 inches, depending on caliber. The barrel comes threaded 5/8×24 from the factory with an Omniport muzzle brake installed. With the barrel, the 110 Ultralite Elite helped keep the weight down with the MDT HNT26 folding carbon fiber stock for an overall package weight that comes in right around 5 lbs. unloaded.

“The 110 Ultralite Elite represents a significant leap forward in our commitment to delivering cutting-edge and innovative firearms to our customers,” said Beth Shimanski, Director of Marketing at Savage Arms. “We are thrilled to partner with PROOF Research and MDT to create a firearm that combines exceptional accuracy and durability with a lightweight design. The 110 Ultralite Elite is built to match the conditions of any extreme outdoor trek and can provide hunters with a tool to tackle any big game pursuit.”

The 110 Ultralite Elite family of rifles includes a shorter overall length when folded and features a 3-position tang safety, an adjustable AccuTrigger trigger, and adjustable length-of-pull and comb adjustments. Further, the new rifle is available in 6.5 Creedmoor, 6.5 PRC, .308 Win, 7mm PRC, .300 Win Mag, and .300 WSM and uses a detachable low-profile AICS box magazine. The Savage 110 Ultralite Elite rifle family is available now and has an MSRP of $3,299.

Patti Miller is one of the most awesome females in the tactical/firearm (or any) industry. Imagine a tall, hawt, dangerous Laura Ingalls Wilder type with cool hair and a suppressed blaster and you'll be getting the idea. What's interesting is that in addition to being a willing brawler and intrepid adventuress, she's also an Ent/Ogier level gardener and a truly badass baker.
