Global Defense has announced the availability of two new exclusive pistols through AmChar Wholesale and Sports South, LLC. The Global Defense-branded pistols, the 9mm SA-9, and .45 ACP 1911 Thunderbolt Signature Series custom pistol, join a full line of products from the US-based firearms importer and distributor.
The SA-9 Combat is an AR-15-hybrid pistol featuring a forged 7075-T6 grade aluminum upper and lower receiver set. Built around a traditional blowback system, the pistol has a full-length MIL-STD Picatinny top rail and 1913 rear attachment rail with quick detach options. It also features a pistol grip, ambidextrous magazine release, and AR15 fire controls, including the 5.5-pound trigger, hammer, and disconnector.

[Photo: Global Defense]The SA-9 has machined front and rear sights that are adjustable for windage and elevation, a 6.5″ chromed barrel threaded 1/2×28, and an A2 flash hider installed from the factory. The pistol is compatible with MP5 30-round magazines and comes in a durable hard case, cleaning kit, sling, and the aforementioned magazine. The Global Defense SA-9 AR pistol has an MSRP of $799.

The pistol features a 5″ barrel, and each is fully Cerakoted in four different schemes, each with laser engraved grips and magazines. The Dakota Bandit pistol has an 8+1 capacity and features a Novak Sight cut. Available in a Freedom 1776, Don’t Tread on Me, Zombie Killer, and The Booby Trap options, the pistols ship with a pistol from the factory. The Global Defense 1911 Thunderbolt Signature Series pistol has an MSRP of $1050.
