Hydra Weaponry, a Maine-based firearms manufacturer, has released its newest weapon system, the Hydra 10. As the name suggests, the Hydra 10 is an AR-style rifle chambered in .308 meant to meet customers’ needs and demands.
Drawing inspiration from customer requests, the Hydra 10 is the latest weapon built on years of research, development, and applicable testing by the company. With key features that folks expect from a Hydra, the Hydra 10 checks all those boxes with what Hydra calls advanced engineering with user-centric features.
“We are proud to introduce the Hydra 10, a rifle platform that embodies our commitment to innovation, quality, and performance,” said Mack Gwinn III, CEO at Hydra Weaponry. “The Hydra 10 represents a new standard of excellence in the world of .308 caliber rifles.”
The original Hydra 10 rifle will be chambered in .308 Winchester, designed to deliver accuracy and ballistic performance, but Hydra states this is only the beginning. As a modular weapon, furniture and components can be easily swapped to meet the individual shooter’s needs, and Hydra foresees an expansion of caliber options in the future. All one would have to do is swap out the barrel and bolt to take the Hydra to a new caliber.
The rifle is built with premium materials and high-quality control standards, ensuring it will stand the test of time and the rigors a user could put it through. The base rifle features a BLK Systems stock and pistol grip and a Quick-Change Barrel Upper Receiver with standard DPMS patterned SR-25 magazines. The rifle also features ergonomic controls and a crisp trigger with smooth cycling for the user’s overall comfort. It is compatible with many aftermarket accessories and easily customized for user preference.
The Hydra 10 is available in a 16″ and 18″ barrel option and two color options, black or coyote tan. The Hydra 10 .308 caliber rifle has loads of possibilities for the shooter with a smooth-running platform. The Hydra 10 has an MSRP of $2,349.
