CVA SR-80 Bolt-Action Scout: New at SHOT Show 2024

CVA has released its newest product with the Cascade SR-80 bolt-action Scout Rifle. The CVA SR-80 Scout Rifle is billed as a versatile bolt-action rifle perfect for short-range hunting. In addition, it’s a great combination of comfort and speed.

In an effort to deliver a product that consumers crave, the SR-80 is incredibly lightweight — weighing just 7.3 pounds — and feeds from a high-capacity magazine. The SR-80 features an 18-inch threaded barrel (5/8-28 pitch) and is available in two caliber options: .308 Winchester or .350 Legend. The muzzle features a factory-installed radial muzzle brake. For sights, the rifle sports an elevation adjustable front and Williams Gun Sights rear peep sight standard from the factory. The rifle also features a forward-mounted Picatinny rail, which is great for long eye relief scopes and red dots alike.

CVA wanted the SR-80 adaptable to different shooters. Accordingly, that’s why the rifle comes with an adjustable length of pull with spacers. This bolt-action rifle hits the comfort and lightweight points. With the Scout design, the rifle is quick to bring up and get a shot off when needed. As for staying on target, the rifle employs a 70-degree bolt throw for a natural cycling action, keeping the shooter’s eyes on the target and not on the rifle.

The CVA-crafted version of the Scout rifle comes with a high-capacity magazine from the company. With the two caliber models to choose from, it’s sure to hit the right spot for enthusiasts. CVA states the SR-80 bolt-action rifle offers a tailored and affordable solution for those looking to own a Scout rifle. Currently on display at the 2024 SHOT Show, the CVA SR-80 Scout bolt-action rifle is coming soon with an MSRP of $925.

Patti Miller is one of the most awesome females in the tactical/firearm (or any) industry. Imagine a tall, hawt, dangerous Laura Ingalls Wilder type with cool hair and a suppressed blaster and you'll be getting the idea. What's interesting is that in addition to being a willing brawler and intrepid adventuress, she's also an Ent/Ogier level gardener and a truly badass baker.
