Tisas USA has released an expansion to its 1911 line of pistols with two new models. These two new models, the 1911 Duty B9R DS and the 1911 Carry B9R DS, have the features that folks love with a Tisas pistol with price and function that appeal to everyone.
“The demand for quality 1911s in various configurations continues to grow,” stated SDS/Tisas USA CEO Tim Mulverhill. “Our team has done a remarkable job in the development of these two models. Whether you are carrying for duty or for personal protection, these featured loaded 1911s deliver superior performance and value.”
The two models share a lot of similar features, like a skeletonized hammer and trigger, a dovetail white dot front for 1/3 co-witness capabilities, and an option for a direct mount a 507k or RMSc optic mounting. Additionally, both models feature 4140 hammer-forged steel frames and slides and 4140 forged carbon steel barrels with a hard chromium coating. The pistols feature a 25 LPI front strap polymer grip, flat main spring house, and extended beavertail tail safeties to go along with the extended magazine release. Rounding out the features, both pistols ship from Tisas USA with two 17-round DS magazines.
The new 1911 pistols are chambered in 9mm Luger and share a lot of features but differ slightly when it comes to barrel length, overall length, and weight. The Carry B9R has a slightly shorter barrel at 4.25” long, allowing for an overall length of just under 8”, while the Duty B9R pistol has a 5” barrel and an overall length of 8.6”. The weights are a bit different, too, thanks to the length of the barrels, with the Carry model weighing right around 29.9 ounces and the Duty model weighing 32.5 ounces.
Both the 1911 Carry B9R DS and the 1911 Duty B9R DS pistols are available now from Tisas USA and have the same MSRP of $799.99.
