Beretta Marks 20th Anniversary of PX4 Storm Series With Two New Offerings

Beretta, the world’s oldest gun maker, is closing in on its 500th anniversary in business, and we should certainly expect big things from the company in 2026 when it reaches that milestone. For 2024, the company is marking the 20th anniversary of its PX4 Storm series of semi-automatic pistols intended for personal defense and law enforcement use by unveiling two new additions to the line.

The new offerings, which made their debut at last month’s 2024 SHOT Show in Las Vegas, include the PX4 Storm Compact Carry 2, as well as a full-size model, the PX4 Storm G-SD (Super Duty) – and both models represent a masterful culmination of two decades of unwavering dedication to innovation and excellence.

Beretta 20th Anniversary PX4
The 20th anniversary is typically marked with porcelain or china – but Beretta is doing something different by rolling out new additions to the PX4 line-up

“We’re very excited to share new models of the PX4 to celebrate its 20th year,” said Ben Grundwerg, product manager for ProShop & Special Projects at Beretta. “We took the best of the configurations developed for this platform over the last 2 decades and incorporated them into focused factory offerings that mirror some of our favorite personal project guns.”

Developed in close collaboration with Langdon Tactical Technology, the enhanced PX4 pistols have also introduced an innovative low-recoil heavy rotating barrel profile, to guarantee durability, unparalleled control, and precision with every shot.

Each of the handguns also received anniversary-worth enhancements including the installation of a D Hammer spring that elevates trigger control to new levels, a Type-G de-cocker tailored for carry-style use, and an impressively sized magazine release for rapid and decisive action when it matters most. To further ensure an unrivaled grip and unshakable confidence in any condition, the Talon Grip offers superior texture.

The PX4 Storm Compact Carry 2 was introduced to be an instinctive choice for concealed carry, and it features a bobbed conceal carry hammer ensuring comfort during AIWB carry, making it feel like a seamless extension of the operator.

“The G-SD configuration of the PX4 is the best, softest shooting PX4 to date,” said Ernest Langdon, president and CEO of Langdon Tactical Technology. “It’s not just about how flat and soft it shoots, it is about how quickly and easily the gun comes back to the same point of aim, that is the real key to how great it shoots. It is really remarkable.”

Langdon Tactical Technology also noted that it offers specialized services and customization options tailored to the new models.
