Steiner Optics has released a new lineup of riflescopes with the H6Xi family. Building on the success of the T6Xi series of tactical riflescopes, the company has applied that optical clarity and maximum light transmission to the needs of modern big game hunters.
Steinter H6Xi Scope Features
The H6Xi family of scopes currently has three models available, each with a first focal plane 6x optical system. The scopes are:
- 2-12x42mm
- 3-16x50mm
- 5-30x50mm
Each scope is constructed from a solid aerospace-grade 6061-T6 aluminum for rugged water-, fog-, and shockproof design that keeps weight down when necessary.
Steiner’s world-renowned high-density lenses provide the H6Xi with optical clarity and maximum light transmission. The Steiner Modern Hunting Reticle [or MHR] illuminates the system by presenting duplex crosshairs at the lower range. At longer ranges, the MHR provides illuminated markings for wind drift and bullet drop. On top of that, the scope family has a 92% light transmission and a wide field of view, so hunters can see their targets easier even in tough conditions.
The H6Xi family features a low-profile elevation turret that helps reduce snags and bump issues with easy-to-read numbers, tactile detents, audible clicks, and a zero-click stop. All of these features make it so the hunter can be confident in their adjustments, even in low-light conditions. The windage adjustment knob has a cap for coverage so there won’t be any accidental changes if going through brush or bumping into the environment.
The scope family also has 11 illumination settings, including two Night Vision settings, four Night settings, and five Day settings. Steiner made sure users could use the scope in whatever light conditions they would encounter. The illumination dial is stacked with the focus adjustment knob which is tuned for the broadest shooting range spectrum with adjustments from 25 yards to infinity.
The H6Xi riflescopes are lightweight and can accommodate gloved or wet hands with aggressive knurling for what Steiner calls a no-slip operation. The diopter also has a locking ring, so it’ll stay in focus no matter what.
The Steiner Optics H6Xi family of riflescopes is a great combination of German inspiration and American production. The MSPR on the scopes range from $2,299 for the 2-12x42mm, $2,529 for the 3-16x50mm, to $2,874 for the 5-30x50mm.
