Escort BullTac SA Bullpup Shotgun: New for 2024

Though the term “riding shotgun” originated after the actual American stagecoach era, it gained widespread use thanks to movies and TV shows about the Old West, where a guard armed with a shotgun would ride alongside the driver. This escort would be able to fend off robbers, wild animals, and other threats.

Of course, those guards never had anything like Escort Shotguns’ new BullTac SA, a purpose-built bullpup semi-automatic shotgun that was designed for sporting, security, and law enforcement applications. While the old school shotguns featured cut-down (sawed off) barrels to make them compact, bullpup designs solved the difficulties of long arm storage, use, and, notably, the ability to carry in confined spaces.

The purpose-built bullpup shotgun delivers uncompromising power with its 18″ barrel for shot or slugs, while the durable synthetic stock ensures all-weather usability.

The BullTac SA features an 18-inch barrel optimized for shot or slugs. It is also equipped with a fixed cylinder choke and oxidation-resistant chrome-plated steel construction, ensuring consistent performance and maximum durability even in the most demanding conditions. The semi-automatic action further allows the recoil to be directed in one area for easy follow-up shots, and a shell deflector diverts spent shells downward.

The new bullpup shotgun, which has a 27.75-inch overall length, features a removable vented front brake and muzzle cap and is affixed to a black anodized aircraft aluminum alloy receiver capable of handling all standard shotgun loads. It is available in black, gray, OD green, or flat dark earth. Each color is offered in 12-gauge, 20-gauge, or .410 bore – with each weighing seven pounds or less – making the BullTac SA suitable for security, law enforcement, or sporting uses.

The BullTac SA’s top carry handle is integrated with an adjustable rear sight and built-in fixed fiber optic front sight for rapid target acquisition. In addition, it houses a rail section that can accept an optic of choice and a side rail for lights and accessories.

The all-weather, pistol grip, bullpup synthetic stock ensures a secure hold and enhanced control in adverse conditions, while a cross-button manual safety is placed for easy manipulation.
