SHOT Show 2024: Global Ordnance Debuts Monolith Rifle

In an effort to shake up the AR-15 market, Global Ordnance has released the all-new Monolith rifle, which debuted this week at SHOT Show 2024. The Global Ordnance Monolith is a bufferless AR designed for versatility and reliable function. The Monolith promises to be a fantastic addition to the gun world and will likely be a favorite for many gun owners going into the coming year.

This rifle is designed with numerous cutting-edge features to deliver an unmatched shooting experience. The Monolith is offered as a 16.1-inch rifle, a 12.6-inch pistol, and also in SBR (short-barreled rifle) configurations. The gun is made to offer all the advantages of a new bufferless operating system while also utilizing a single-piece integrated barrel system. In addition, controls are fully ambidextrous.

Features of the Monolith include:

  • Simplified design with more than a dozen fewer parts than a traditional AR-platform rifle
  • Bufferless system, eliminating the need for a buffer assembly
  • Refined gas flow with a 45-degree gas port
  • Enhanced rifling
  • Heavy-duty bolt
  • Interlocking upper receiver and handguard
  • Integrated folding adjustable F5 modular stock
  • Ambidextrous controls, including a new, patented bolt release
