Safariland 6000 Series Holsters With New Fits

Safariland has expanded its 6000 series fits to include options for Staccato, Springfield Armory, and other 2011 pistols. These join the already long list of fits available in the 6000 series family. According to the company, these new fits for the 2011 Staccato XC and Springfield Prodigy, both with 5-inch barrels, help maximize reliability and performance. They are geared toward law enforcement professionals and everyday carriers alike.

“Safariland continues to evolve as we deliver new holster offerings and innovative ways to provide protection for our customers,” said Eric Gasvoda, GM of Duty Gear for Safariland. “The collaboration with industry partners and firearm manufacturers remains ongoing to ensure a wide array of fits for the best holsters offered on the market.”

The 6000 series of holsters have options for RDS and RDSO models, as in with or without red dot sights. Just as a refresher for those that may have forgotten [or may have not known to start with], the RDS holsters from Safariland are made specifically for pistols that have red dot sights installed. The Safariland Automatic Locking System, or ALS, securely locks the firearm in at all angles with tight retention and provides an intuitive draw.

Additionally, Safariland has holster options that have extra retention capabilities with a combination of the company’s ALS and SLS systems. The SLS system is the Self-Locking pivoting hood that locks the firearm in place. So, the end-user can choose between the two systems or use a combination of both.

The RDSO (Red Dot Sights Open) holsters have an open pocket that fits the optic without having to use a flip-up dust cover. Safariland seems to have thought of all the possibilities when it comes to the growing popularity of these pistols.

Patti Miller is one of the most awesome females in the tactical/firearm (or any) industry. Imagine a tall, hawt, dangerous Laura Ingalls Wilder type with cool hair and a suppressed blaster and you'll be getting the idea. What's interesting is that in addition to being a willing brawler and intrepid adventuress, she's also an Ent/Ogier level gardener and a truly badass baker.
