Pulsar has announced the release of the long-awaited Thermion 2 LRF XL50 thermal imaging rifle scope. The new Thermion rifle scope has what the company calls an exceptional HD image quality thanks to the HD sensor resolution and high zoom levels.
The Thermion 2 LRF XL50 has a new 1024×768-pixel resolution Lynred sensor for the highest level of thermal imaging. With the HD sensor, the rifle scope has a variable 1.75-14x magnification with an x8 digital zoom for a better overall image, regardless of zoom settings. The scope allows for magnification in 2x increments or a continuous motion zoom. The scope also features a selection of 10 reticle configurations and functions, with 9 different color options for ease of use.
The scope features a built-in compact LRF with a range of up to 875 yards. The design is seamless, making accurate shooting possible at any distance. The scope features Purlsar’s proprietary Stream Vision Ballistics application, allowing users to upload different ballistic profiles straight to the scope’s memory. With an impressive 14-degree field of view with the base magnification, the Thermion 2 makes it easy to spot the target.
The new Thermion 2 rifle scope has an adjustable sensor sensitivity amplification that helps fine-tune brightness and contrast for high-end image processing. So regardless of weather conditions, the scope delivers a clear view at long range. The memory within the scope can store up to 10 shooting profiles and 100 zeroing distances. Additionally, the system has a customizable user mode so individual image adjustments can be made for specific conditions.
The scope can be mounted on any firearm with a 30mm ring and is rated for use on firearms up to .375H&H. The Thermion 2 LRF XL50 is powered by a dual battery system with one built-in and one replaceable battery, offering up to 10 hours of use before replacement or recharge. Rounding out the features of this high-quality thermal scope is the Pulsar BT wireless Bluetooth remote control and WiFi integration with both iOS and Android systems, which allows users to share, save, and view images and video through wireless technology.
The new Thermion 2 LRF XL50 rifle scope has an MSRP of $8,799.99.
