Mesa Tactical has announced three new Truckee forends for the Remington 870 shotgun. Mesa Tactical, with its history of designing and manufacturing tactical accessories for law enforcement, military, and commercial shooters, has delivered three new lengths for the Truckee forend designed to meet consumer needs.
The new Truckee forends are available in 7.5-inch, 9-inch, and 10.5-inch lengths and are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum for a durable but lightweight product. Each has a hard anodized finish for extra durability and protection and features what the company calls a hassle-free installation thanks to the forend nut wrench with the new Remington models. Additionally, the new forends include M-LOK slots on the sides and bottom, offering more options for mounting accessories on the pump-action Remington 700 shotgun.
“Few Mesa Tactical products in the last few years have generated as much excitement around the shop as the Truckee forends for the Remington 870. We are very excited to finally be offering an aluminum forend for this venerable workhorse platform. It might not be the first aluminum forend for the Remington 870, but it’s the first we’ve seen.” said Mitch Barrie, President of Mesa Tactical.
The 12-gauge forends remain on the barrel when the shotgun is broken down for cleaning, keeping things simple for the user. The new forends for the Remington 870 shotguns, specifically the 7.5-inch model, are designed to work well with the Mesa Tactical SureShell Carrier with a Fallon Rail on the Tac-14 shotgun.
Each Mesa Tactical Truckee forend for both the Remington 700 and Remington 870 is 100% made in the US and can be purchased in a black color. The forends are out now for purchase and can be seen in Mesa Tactical’s booth at the SHOT Show next month. The Truckee forends range in price with a $95 MSRP for the 7.5-inch model, a $105 MSRP for the 9-inch, and a $115 MSRP for the 10.5-inch.
