In a first of its kind for the manufacturer, there’s a binary trigger and slide combo for the Glock 17 Gen 3 shipping from Franklin Armory. The trigger and slide pairing is designed to grant G17 Gen 3 owners greater live fire options including the ability to choose between semi-automatic and binary rates of fire.
Franklin Armory is a manufacturer of firearms, parts, and accessories and is proud to announce the latest addition to their lineup: The G-S173 Binary Trigger for Glock 17 Gen 3. This set has begun shipping and is the first the company has made for a striker-fired handgun. The G-S173 is engineered using the company’s patented Binary Firing System (BFS) for reliable performance. It’s the first pull-and-release trigger to provide Glock 17 Gen 3 owners with the ability to choose between standard semiautomatic fire and Binary modes. It also offers users the ability to safely cancel the release round.
Features
The slide features include standard front and rear tritium night sights to draw the eye, a semi/binary mode selector located at the back of the slide, and tactile, angled serrations at the front and back for easier manipulation. This is an optics-ready slide with multiple plate sizes available separately. Franklin Armory designed the slide with anti-glare slide top stripe serrations.
From the company:
In Binary mode, a single round is fired when the trigger is pulled and a single round is fired when the trigger is released. One of the revered safety features incorporated into all Franklin Armory BFS triggers is the ability to cancel the release round. To cancel the release round on G-S173, simply move the selector lever located on the slide from Binary to the “semi” position before releasing the trigger.
