New for 2023: Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount HL-X Pro Light

Streamlight is proud to announce yet another product to its 2023 catalog: the lightweight ProTac Rail Mount HL-X Pro light. This new light is compatible with a large number of weapons thanks to the integrated rail clamp.

The new light mount can snap-on and tighten on rifles, carbines, and sub-machine guns with a Picatinny rail, or using the M-LOK mount that comes in the box from Streamlight. The light helps keep the user’s hands away from the muzzle of the host weapon thanks to the multi-function, push-button tail switch. It allows the user to select momentary or constant-on operational modes.

Streamlight has announced a new ProTac light, the ProTac Rail Mount HL-X Pro. This light comes with a snap-on mount for quick installation on Picatinny rail, or MLOK (with included mount). “This newest addition to the Streamlight ProTac family of weapon-mounted lights is the ‘whole package,’” said Streamlight President and CEO, Ray Sharrah. “It not only functions as a high lumen light, but with its 50,000 candela and long beam reach, it also puts more light on a target at a distance. This makes it a powerful tactical tool for law enforcement professionals, military personnel, and other first responders as they perform room clearing, search operations, and other maneuvers under low-light conditions. Its innovative tail cap switch provides switch redundancy, offering both a push-button switch and a port for a remote pressure switch. And users can choose between rechargeable and disposable batteries, depending on preference or availability.”

Constructed from 6000 series machined aircraft aluminum, the new Streamlight ProTac light features a Type II MIL-Spec anodized finish for durability. It has an IP67 waterproof rating at one meter for 30 minutes with the push button installed, or an IP54 water resistant rating when using the remote pressure switch installed, and is highly resistant to impacts from bumps and drops.

The Streamlight ProTac Rail Mount HL-X Pro is powered by LED technology and can deliver 1,000-lumen, 50,000 candelas with a 447-meter beam distance on the high setting. The low setting delivers a 60-lumen, 3,100 candela with a beam distance of 111 meters. The dual-fuel battery light can operate on the Streamlight rechargeable SL-B26 battery or on two CR123 lithium batteries. If using a CR123A battery, it can operate up to 1.25 hours on high and 21 hours on low, however, with the SL-B26 it can run for 1.75 hours on high and 24 hours on low.

The ProTac Rail Mount HL-X Pro can be purchased as the light only or as a system (including the remote pressure switch, tail switch, and other items), and weighs 6.6 ounces (with CR123) or 7.2 (with SL-B26). The light has an MSRP of $210 up to $266, depending on options and configurations.

Patti Miller is one of the most awesome females in the tactical/firearm (or any) industry. Imagine a tall, hawt, dangerous Laura Ingalls Wilder type with cool hair and a suppressed blaster and you'll be getting the idea. What's interesting is that in addition to being a willing brawler and intrepid adventuress, she's also an Ent/Ogier level gardener and a truly badass baker.
