Federal Ammunition, one of the largest ammunition manufacturers in the country, has announced a new product to its Power-Shok line of ammunition: the Power-Shok 360 Buckhammer cartridge. Claimed to remain deadly accurate past 200 yards, this new ammunition offering is specifically designed for lever-action rifles.
Originally launched by Remington, the 360 Buckhammer round is a new straight-walled Power-Shok cartridge, available in 180- or 200-grain jacketed soft-point bullet offerings. The Power-Shok bullet features a .358 diameter lead core projectile with energy and trajectories similar to a .30-30 Win bullet but with softer recoil and better accuracy. Federal refers to these new loads as “tag filler” rounds, meaning you’ll fill your hunting tag without a huge ammo price.
“The tag-filling efficiency of Federal Power-Shok has made it a legend in hunting camps ranging from the Northwoods to the mountains and everywhere in between,” said Federal’s Centerfire Ammunition Product Line Manager Eric Miller. “Our traditional lead-core hunting bullets offer accurate performance at an affordable price. It is a great combination for this new cartridge. We certainly are excited to offer it in 360 Buckhammer.”
The Power-Shok 360 Buckhammer rounds feature quality components that consumers have come to expect from Federal such as reloadable brass casings, non-corrosive primers, and clean-burning powders and propellants. These rounds are well suited for hunting with lever-action rifles and can be used on a variety of medium to big game targets. The 180-grain rounds are shipping now with the 200-grain cartridges coming soon.
Federal Power-Shok 360 Buckhammer ammunition ships in 20-round boxes with an MSRP of $36.99 per box.
