MDT recently announced its acquisition of Warhorse Developments, a company known for its precise and quality shooting bags. This move will bring durable shooting bags into MDT’s innovation and distribution network for more users to find.
The new line of shooting bags for MDT has been announced thanks to this merger and consists of three new bags to choose from: MDT Traveller, MDT Grand Old Canister, and MDT Peanut. According to the company, these new bags will enhance MDT’s product offerings with Warhorse Development’s proven shooting bags, set to redefine reliability and precision in shooting sports. Let’s take a closer look at these new bags.
The MDT Traveller Shooting bag, a name inspired by the horse of General Robert E. Lee, is both classic and versatile. The bag is constructed from 500D Cordura for durability, and the user has the choice of fills, either Git-Lite or House fill, and comes in two different colors: Multicam and Coyote. It features a removable lanyard and a dedicated hand strap for a non-slip grip. The MDT Traveller shooting bag has an MSRP of $49.95.
The MDT Grand Old Canister shooting bag is named after General Sickles’ warhorse. This new shooting bag offers a solid shooting base compatible with different terrains and shooting applications. Constructed from 500D Cordura nylon material, this bag is robust and reliable in different elements. The fill can be adjusted or changed with a Velcro opening on the bag, and the bag is available in two different sizes (medium and large). The Grand Old Canister bag features a hand strap and a carabiner loop for easy carry and storage. The Grand Old Canister shooting bag is available in two colors (Multicam and Coyote) and has an MSRP of $59.95.
The third new shooting bag is the Peanut, an homage to the versatile Quarter Horse Peanut. As the name would imply, the bag features a peanut shape, giving shooters a reliable, durable, and adaptable shooting rest. Constructed from a waxed Army Duck canvas, this bag is highly resistant to tears and wear. The bag features an internal funnel and zipper opening, allowing the user to adjust the fill levels, and comes prefilled from MDT. The Peanut shooting bag is only available in Coyote with an MSRP of $89.95.
