The latest from Magpul is going to make a lot of gun owners happy. New for 2024 are magazines for AR-15 platform rifles as well as mags that are compatible with the Sig Sauer P320/M17. Even more interesting is the fact that the magazines made for the Sig Sauer P320 are metal rather than the polymer the company is known for. Looks like Magpul has decided to expand its options in the best way possible: more materials for more mags.
Magpul is pleased to announce the next evolution of their trusted polymer mags: metal AMAGs. According to the manufacturer, their new alloy mags are made for situations where polymer just won’t do, but metal will. These magazines are made for the Sig Sauer P320/M17 chambered in 9x19mm Parabellum. The Magpul AMAG 17 SG9 features a heat-treated, stainless steel alloy body and promises to deliver the reliable function and durability the company is known for. These mags have a high-visibility, controlled-tilt follower, stainless steel spring, flared floorplate, and paint pen dot matrix. The floorplate is designed to be easy to remove for maintenance and the capacity indicator starts at 5 rounds, then increases in one-round increments. It has a capacity of 17 rounds. The Magpul AMAG 17 SG9 is bound to become a favorite of Sig P320 owners.
Also new for 2024 from Magpul is the Magpul TMAG 30 AR/M4 Gen M3 magazine. This AR-platform mag is translucent olive drab and made for rugged reliability. Magpul states it’s compatible with most STANAG 4179 platforms including the AR-15, M4, M16, SCAR MK16/16S, HK416, MR556, M27 IAR, and IWI Tavor. The TMAG 30 AR/M4 Gen M3 mag features internal geometry that promotes reliable feeding and has ribbed front and rear straps for easier mag changes. It also has a four-way, anti-tilt follower, USGI spec stainless-steel spring, and a low-profile floor plate. This magazine has a capacity of 30 rounds.
MSRP for the Magpul AMAG 17 SG9 for the Sig Sauer P320 is set at $34.95 and the Magpul TMAG 30 AR/M4 Gen 3 mag is set at $23.95.
