Brownells has quietly expanded its lineup of stripped pistol slides to include options for the Sig Sauer P320 handgun. Now offering options for both the full-size and compact variants of the P320, the slides can be purchased with a window or with wraparound front serrations at the consumer’s preference.
Billed as the perfect top half for a DIY custom pistol by Brownells, the P320 slide is machined from 17-4 stainless steel billet that has been hardened to Rockwell “C” 41-44 for protection from wear and tear. The slides feature a nitride matte black finish as the surface treatment for a non-reflective yet durable part. According to the company, the slides have been machined to factory specifications to ensure that the slide is compatible with any factory or aftermarket P320 internal components.
Slide Options
As stated above, the slides are available in either windowed or with wraparound serrations. The serrations add to the overall aesthetic of the pistol build. Additionally, the front serrations make it easy to manipulate the slide for ammo checks or to clear any problem ammo jams.
Likewise, the windowed option of the slide aids in heat dissipation for the barrel during times of prolonged shooting. Brownells also points out that the window on the slide helps show off the barrel if the end user happens to have one they want to display. You know, aftermarket barrels with the spiral fluting, contrasting finish, or any other unique exterior of the barrel that might be neat to see more often, to show off “a bit of your pistol’s bling.”
The Sig P320 stripped slides from Brownells start at $241.99 for the non-windowed full-size slide and range up to $269.99 for the windowed compact slide, with the other options falling between the two. As with other Brownells products, the slides are made in the USA and are Guaranteed Forever.
