Vortex’s New Razor HD 13-39×56 Spotting Scope

Vortex Optics has released its newest optic in the Razor HD family of optics with the 13-39×56 spotting scope. Vortex stated they wished to provide the eight-conscious hunter with a more compact Razor HD spotting scope. Vortex feels that this new model helps push the Razor line into the highest tier of high-performing glass.

The newest model of Razor HD features the HD Optical System, a compact design, helical focus, is available with either a straight eyepiece or angled, and is Arca-Swiss compatible. The HD Optical System has been optimized with select glass pieces to give the user incredible resolution, true color fidelity, edge-to-edge sharp picture, and optimum light transmission. The spotting scope provides an incredible field of view of up to 168’-89’ at 1,000 yards.

The compact design of the Razor HD means that the scope fits easily in any pack. It boasts a sleek, snag-free design thanks to the low-profile helical focus wheel. With this wheel, the user can easily adjust the field of view to meet the user’s needs at the time. The new smaller profile is much sleeker, with either model weighing less than 30 ounces and is around 11” long or less. But with the smaller size, Vortex didn’t cheap out on the quality, making the 13-39×56 spotting scope to its high standards.

Vortex worked hard to ensure the new Razor HD 13-39×56 is the perfect balance of premium optics and a compact package. The spotting scope is compatible with Arca-Swiss, meaning it fits more tripods right out of the box. Speaking of boxes, the scope comes from the factory with a neoprene case, lens covers, and lens cloth, making it a full package. The Razor HD 13-39×56 is a great compact scope with an edge-to-edge color picture and is available now. The Razor HD 13-39×56 spotting scope, whether angled or straight eyepiece, has an MSRP of $1,299.

Patti Miller is one of the most awesome females in the tactical/firearm (or any) industry. Imagine a tall, hawt, dangerous Laura Ingalls Wilder type with cool hair and a suppressed blaster and you'll be getting the idea. What's interesting is that in addition to being a willing brawler and intrepid adventuress, she's also an Ent/Ogier level gardener and a truly badass baker.
