Viridian Weapons Technologies Unveiled the RF44 Compact Closed Reflex Sight

Building on the success of the RFX45, Viridian Weapon Technologies has introduced a one-of-a-kind reflex sight that is aimed at enhancing the shooting experience of firearms enthusiasts and professionals alike. The RFX44 Compact Closed Emitter Green Dot Reflex Sight provides a huge viewing window – offering a 25% larger viewing area than other compacted closed emitters – yet is still compact enough to mount on Shield RMSc footprint firearms.

The new reflex sight was engineered to be sleek and streamlined yet still highly robust, while it can speed up and refine target acquisition and accuracy. As the latest addition to the RFX line, the sight packs a host of features into its compact design, which makes it ideal for a wide range of shooting applications.

The RFX44 is compact, lightweight, and versatile, while it was built with a focus on design.

“Viridian is dedicated to delivering cutting-edge solutions to our customers, as well as, identifying tech needs within the industry,” said Viridian CEO and President, Brian Hedeen. “The RFX44 Compact Closed Emitter embodies our commitment to innovation and superior performance. Its compact design, advanced features, and reliable construction make it an indispensable tool for any shooter.”

Small Yet Rugged

The ACRO native sight is slender enough to fit the Shield RMSc footprint but adaptable with a total of four mounting plates, including RMR, and Picatinny mounts in two heights.

Crafted from machined 6061 aircraft aluminum with hard coat anodization and an IPX6 waterproof rating, the RFX44 was also designed to withstand and keep out the elements in the toughest conditions and rugged for long-lasting durability. Its enclosed housing protects from dust, moisture, and debris, while its fully multi-coated lens with the proprietary specially designed green coating ensures superior light transmission. Moreover, it features a crystal-clear viewing window and a sharp crisp green dot, and eliminates the dreaded blue shift.

The RFX44’s 5 MOA green dot reticle capitalizes on the human eye’s heightened sensitivity to green wavelengths, which Viridian Weapons Technologies touts as also being significantly quicker to find and highly visible in all lighting conditions over red dots.

Moreover, it features INSTANT-ON activation when detecting the slightest movement, but after two minutes of no movement, it automatically goes to sleep to conserve battery life. The sight also boasts audible and tactile buttons to dial in 10 user-defined dot settings – including eight daytime and two-night vision. The sight’s intuitive windage and elevation adjustments empower shooters to make quick and accurate changes as needed while maintaining zero over time, and with a 30,000-hour battery life (more than 41 months or three and a half years) users can enjoy a long carry service life.

The RFX44 Compact Closed Emitter Green Dot Reflex Sight comes backed by Viridian’s Limited Lifetime Warranty. It is now in stock for $459 MSRP and is shipping from Viridian.
