Franchi is a premiere maker of precision bolt action rifles, break-action shotguns for clay games, and semi-automatic shotguns with their Affinity line. New for 2024 is the Franchi Affinity 3 Sport Trap, an Affinity setup from the box for competition.
As the name suggests, the Franchi Affinity 3 Sport Trap is a 12-gauge shotgun with a 3-inch chamber that is intended for competitive games like trap and skeet. It features a synthetic forend and buttstock. The latter has Franchi’s TSA rubber butt pad that reduces felt recoil upwards of 50%. The buttstock is adjustable for cast-off and drop with the included set of five shims.
The black anodized aluminum receiver and inertia-driven semi-auto action are at the heart of the Affinity 3 Sport Trap. The bolt has an oversized charging handle. Meanwhile, the bolt release on the right side of the receiver is large and instinctive to hit while shouldered. Franchi’s inertia-driven system solves two problems associated with the balance and reliability problems associated with gas-operated shotguns. The Affinity 3 Sport Trap is light at the muzzle for quick pointing. Furthermore, it’s action will cycle everything from light clay loads to magnum waterfowl loads. The kit is complete with the inclusion of an improved cylinder bore, modified, and full chokes to adjust your pattern.
The new Affinity 3 Sport Trap is shipping now and has an MSRP of $999.
