SHOT 2024: The New Benelli Montefeltro Sporting Shotgun

Shotgun hunters who want the latest autoloading shotgun technology, but don’t want to give up style, have flocked to the Benelli Montefeltro for years. Now, the sport shooter can enjoy both with the new Montefeltro Sporting model.

The new Benelli Montefeltro Sporting shotgun is available in two different models: a 30-inch barrel 12-gauge with 2 3/4-inch chamber or a 28 inch-barrel 20-gauge with 3-inch chamber. Benelli’s proprietary Crio treatment destresses the barrels. In addition, the barrels wear a high-profile vent rib with a mid-bead and red ramp front sight for an appropriate sight picture on fast-moving clay pigeons and birds. The shotguns also come with extended improved cylinder, modified, and full bore Crio chokes for quick and easy adjustments to fix the pattern to your game.

The Montefeltro Sporting sports a timeless Grade A checkered walnut buttstock and forend with a gloss anodized lightweight aluminum receiver. A rich glossy blue finishes the barrel, magazine tube, and other steel parts to match the receiver. To ensure the proper fit for the shooter, the Montefeltro Sporting comes with a shim kit to adjust the drop and cast-off of the stock, so the shooter’s eye instinctively drops onto the sights.

Like other shotguns in Benelli’s lineup, the Montefeltro Sporting uses an inertia-driven recoil system that promotes better balance than gas operated shotguns. The system also allows for easy cycling of shotgun ammunition, from light-loaded clay loads to heavy waterfowl shells. The Benelli Montefeltro Sporting is new for 2024 and shipping now.
