Quick Specs:

  • Model: 605 Executive Grade
  • Caliber: .357 Magnum/.38 Special
  • Capacity: 5
  • Barrel Length: 3 inches
  • Overall Length: 7.5 inches
  • Weight: 23.5 oz. unloaded

The Model 605 was first introduced in the late 1990s as a five-shot snub nose small-frame .357 Magnum revolver. Recently, Taurus brought out a 3-inch barrel model for better ballistics and handling when firing full-power .357 Magnum ammunition. The new Taurus 605 Executive Grade is a base model stainless-steel revolver with 3-inch barrel. The Model 605 Executive Grade’s action is hand-fit and polished for a smooth, consistent trigger pull. Whether shooting double-action or cocking the exposed hammer for a lighter single-action trigger press, the trigger is designed for pleasant and reliable operation.

Unlike the recent optics ready TORO Model 605, the Executive Grade comes with a fixed milled notch rear sight and changeable front gold post. In addition, the Model 605 Executive Grade comes with a pair of checkered Altamont stocks instead of the usual wrap-around rubber grip. The revolver, like others in the line, features a hand-polished satin stainless finish.

The Taurus Model 605 now joins the .38 Special Model 856 and Judge .45 Colt/.410 bore revolvers on the Taurus Executive line. These revolvers are shipping now with an MSRP of $757.99.
