Shadow Systems has a well-known reputation for producing quality pistols, and now they’re making their own suppressors to go with those guns. The latest product from Shadow Systems is the HS923 suppressor which is officially launching at SHOT 2024. Designed to be impressively durable, the suppressor remains balanced and lightweight. Whether you have a Shadow Systems threaded barrel pistol or not, this suppressor is well worth a closer look.
Shadow Systems is expanding their product line with the introduction of a suppressor, the HS923. Optimized for 9mm pistols, the new Shadows Systems suppressor is compatible with threaded barrels (1/2-28 pitch). This is a lightweight, modular option for sound suppression. Using a suppressor protects both your own hearing and that of those around you. Furthermore, it simultaneously reduces your auditory footprint on an area.
Project manager Lawrence Wong said:
We wanted three things: the ability to prioritize suppression or size depending on the use case, lightweight construction to limit impacts on reliability, and the durability of a titanium blast baffle.
Comprised of lightweight 7075 aluminum and titanium, the suppressor features excellent durability. In addition, the modular suppressor design allows shooters to alternate between short and long configurations based on their needs at the time. This also allows shooters to adjust the level of sound suppression. The HS923’s short configuration provides up to 24 decibels of sound suppression. Meanwhile, the long configuration provides as many as 33 decibels of sound suppression. However, keep in mind variables — such as ammunition — affect suppression.
Although designed to pair perfectly with Shadow Systems pistols, this suppressor is also compatible with any 1/2-28 thread pitch 9mm barrel. The patent-pending front cap uses a Shadow Systems pistol slide for installation and removal. This makes length adjustments possible with no need for additional tools when on a Shadow Systems pistol.
MSRP for the Shadow Systems HS923 is $822. For SHOT 2024, the suppressor is on display at booth #41726.
