Nosler’s New SR-30K “K-Can” Suppressor

Nosler Inc., a manufacturer of ammunition, components, and suppressors, has released its latest suppressor, the SR-30K suppressor. The company took the SR-30AlTi aluminum/titanium suppressor and updated it to the lightest possible weight while taking it down in size, marrying the best noise reduction with overall length.

Referred to as the “K-Can” by Nosler, it is geared towards the hunters in the market. The new K-Can is two inches shorter and two ounces lighter than its predecessor. These features helped give the suppressor its nickname of K-Can, coming from the German word for “short,” “Kurtz.” The shorter length was made possible thanks in part to the proprietary baffle stack for maximum performance in the small package.

Pat Mundy, VP of Sales & Marketing at Nosler said, “We are very pleased to bring the innovative, compact, hunt-focused K-Can to the market. It’s designed and built to be the ideal suppressor for hunters who prize handiness and best-in-class noise reduction.”

The K-Can comes in at just 5.8” long and just over seven ounces of total weight, making it a quick and easy addition to any hunting rifle. The lighter weight keeps the rifle easy to maneuver and use in a tree stand, blind, or whatever your hunting terrain demands. Nosler states that the suppressor uses the same attachment system as other Nosler suppressors and can be mounted on a brake or as a direct thread with the included adapter.“Combine the overall length of 5.85”, the mere weight of 7 oz. with phenomenal sound reduction; hunters will have the ability to up their game like never before.” -Dave Adamson Mechanical Engineer Nosler, Inc.

Nosler does state that due to its construction, the K-Can is not designed for long shot strings or fully automatic fire without periods of time for cooling of the suppressor.

According to Nosler, the SR-30K, or K-Can, is the best of both worlds when it comes to noise and blast reduction when space and weight are at a premium. The lighter weight suppressor with the smaller size profile provides an economical solution for the decerning hunter. The Nosler SR-30K K-Can suppressor has an MSRP of $729.

Patti Miller is one of the most awesome females in the tactical/firearm (or any) industry. Imagine a tall, hawt, dangerous Laura Ingalls Wilder type with cool hair and a suppressed blaster and you'll be getting the idea. What's interesting is that in addition to being a willing brawler and intrepid adventuress, she's also an Ent/Ogier level gardener and a truly badass baker.
