Troy Industries, a leader in AR parts and complete rifles, is now in the mid-range .308 game with the new Mk. II No. 1 Troy Long Rifles. The series includes a base model Mk. II rifle as well as the Mk. II CSASS, both of which can fulfill the needs of hunters and precision rifle circuit competitors everywhere.
The MK II. rifles are built from the ground up to be sub-MOA capable out of the box. The heart of the rifle is Troy’s 18-inch barrel with a 1:10 twist. This combination yields better accuracy and less blast than more compact 16-inch barrels but keeps the package relatively compact for moving in dynamic environments. The 1:10 twist rate is ideal to stabilize the vast array of .308 Winchester rounds ranging from 110-180 grain. The accuracy package is enhanced with the inclusion of a flat-faced LaRue Tactical trigger that breaks at 4.5 lbs. and an ergonomic B5 Enhanced SOPMod buttstock.
This accurized rifle is based on the AR-10 platform and comes with quality upgrades including an ambidextrous safety selector and a Troy Pneuma ambidextrous charging handle. The rifle uses Troy’s proprietary 15-inch M-Lok aluminum handguard and ships with 45-degree offset iron sights.
The base model Mk. II ships with a hard case and can be had at an MSRP of $2,600. The Mk. II CSASS comes with a Harris S-BRM bipod and a ZeroTech Vengeance 5-25x56mm riflescope fixed in a Warne Precision Cantilever mount. The CSASS ships at $3,600. Both models are available and shipping now.
