Federal Ammunition has expanded its product lineup to include a new family of match-grade centerfire rifle ammunition, Federal Premium Gold Medal Match CenterStrike. The initial offering is shipping to dealers currently with more coming in the next few months.
The new family of match-grade CenterStrike rifle loads has a proprietary open-tip match design to go with the sleek profile. The loads were done to extremely tight specifications to provide the shooter with the highest long-range accuracy and consistency. The family will eventually consist of a 140-grain 6.5 Creedmoor load, a 168-grain .308 Win load, a 175-grain .308 Win load, and finally a 77-grain 223 Rem load. Some are available now while others are coming soon.
The round has a precision-built OTM bullet design coupled with a high ballistic coefficient design to provide the necessary stopping power at long range. Each round in the Gold Medal CenterStrike family is held to Federal’s tightest specifications for accuracy, pressure, and velocity so round after round is sure to perform. The family also uses Gold Medal primers and brass with specially formulated propellants.
Some of the Gold Medal CenterStrike rifle ammunition family has been on the shelves since May with the 168-grain and 175-grain .308 WIN loads. Federal states that the 140-grain 6.5 Creedmoor load is shipping now. The 77-grain 223 Rem loads are expected to be shipping out this fall. Each load of the CenterStrike ammunition is available in 20-round boxes and prices range from $36.99 to $47.99 MSRP.
