The Craziest Glock Accessories

One of the neat things about a (mostly) free market is the fact that with enough capital any product idea can get made. That is true in the gun world, for better or worse, all the time. Today we are going to look at some of the craziest Glock accessories ever brought to you by the free market.

The Glock series of pistols are the AR-15 of handguns. They are everywhere, extremely popular, and designed to be modular. The market has taken the simple, modular design and catapulted it into the stratosphere. You can build a Glock without a single Glock part nowadays.

Mind you, we’re not talking lights and lasers here. We’ve seen many, many awesome accessories and gadgets that have pushed the Glock platform forward. But we’re not talking about those.

No, today we acknowledge the wide variety of accessories bordering on crazy. Today we’ll look at some of the most seemingly ridiculous gadgets and doohickeys available. Some are useful, some are useless, and at least one of them is downright dangerous.

Into the Craziest Glock Accessories

Recover Tactical P-IX

Pistol chassis kits have existed for years now and are made by various companies. You’ve seen the Ronis, the KPOS kits, and more. The Recover Tactical P-IX is easily the most unique of these systems. It turns your Glock into something much more akin to an AR 15 pistol.

It’s silly, but it works.

It’s really nuts how it works, and even more, it’s nuts that it works well. The chassis system allows you to attach numerous braces or even stocks with a tax stamp. You can toss optics, lights, and whatever other accessories you have onto the chassis and have something truly unique. If it’s tough to purchase AR-type weapons where you live, then this Glock kit might be the answer for you.

Chassis systems are already kinda crazy for handguns, but the P-IX is certainly one of the craziest Glock accessories.

FAB Defense Universal Attachment for Glock 19

What if I told you that you could attach your Glock 19 to the rifle? Why would you do this? Well, you’d have a vertical rip that shoots 9mm rounds! Just in case your rifle rounds didn’t do the job. Remember what Captain Price said in Call of Duty 4? It’s always faster to switch to your secondary than it is to reload.

It’s so operator it hurts.

If that’s faster, then switching from your primary to your vertical grip is even faster, right? Who needs a reload when you’ve got a gun stuck to your gun? Oh, and since your rifle has a stock that makes your Glock an SBR, so make sure you have your stamp. If you attach it to an AR pistol, it might count as a vertical grip, so it might make your AR pistol an AOW (Any Other Weapon).

Alternative Ballistics Non-Lethal Attachment

Remember when I said one of the craziest Glock accessories was dangerous? It’s this one. This thing attaches over the muzzle of your Glock and gives it a clown nose. You think, hey, it’s like a rifle grenade; you fire it with a blank or something. Nope, you’re wrong.

Alternative Ballistics Non-Lethal Attachment
Your Glock needs a clown nose.

You stick it on your Glock’s muzzle and fire a live round, sending it careening down range. A live round propels this thing. It labels itself as less lethal, but man, I wouldn’t wanna be the guy who fires this at someone and then call it less lethal.

Franklin Armory Binary Trigger

Let’s flip from unsafe to the most fun you can have with your pants on and without a tax stamp. Some accessories can make Glocks fun. A binary trigger is a trigger that fires when it’s pressed and when it’s released. These triggers are freakin’ sweet, and on a Glock, they are a blast.

It’s a ton of fun

We ran one hard and loud at SHOT, and it’s my personal favorite of the craziest Glock accessories. With a fast enough trigger finger, this thing feels like a machine pistol. It wouldn’t be something I’d toss on a duty or concealed carry gun, but for fun? Why the hell not?

Drums…Lots of Drums

Oh yeah, Glock gets to join in on our love of the drum magazine. Drums offer you an absolute butt load of firepower and are entirely silly for a handgun, but this is a list of the craziest Glock accessories.

Magpul PMAG D-50 drum magazine
Is 50 rounds enough?

The Magpul D50 drum is by far the best. It’s well-made, easy to use, and reliable. Other, more affordable drums from companies like ProMag offer less professional and less durable options, but they can still be plenty of fun for wasting a little ammo.

If you wanna get crazy, there is a 100-round Beta mag-style Glock drum. This thing is absurd and made by C-MAG. If you don’t mind spending nearly 400 dollars, you can experience the joy of it.

Striker Control Device

The Striker Control Device is all manner of weird, but it’s not bad. In fact, of all the weird stuff on this list, the Striker Control Device is probably the best accessory for your Glock. I’m not saying you need it, but the Strike Control Device can give you a little more confidence when you re-holster.

Langdon Tactical striker control device
This is Langdon Tactical’s version of the device. It’s odd but it works.

What is it? It’s a safety but isn’t your typical manual design. Instead of a switch, it’s a backplate that extends outward. In normal operation, it does nothing to inhibit the function of your weapon. When you go to re-holster, you press it inward, and this prevents the weapon from firing as you re-holster. It only works when the device is pressed inward. On the draw, there is nothing to disable and no chance of it leaving a gun on safe when you need it on Bang.

The Cornershot

Last but not least is the absolute king of crazy Glock accessories, the Cornershot. This thing was developed in the early 2000s or so and occupied my teenage imagination as I saw it on shows like Future Weapons. The Cornershot is a massive, rifle-sized chassis system. The Glock sits inside the front end, and that front end is on a hinge. It pairs with a camera and screen to make it possible for the shooter to aim around a corner.

Let’s peek around corners y’all.

This Israeli invention does turn your Glock into an SBR, and they are fairly expensive and rare. They do pop up on the civilian market occasionally, but they aren’t impossible to find by any means. A Cornershot would certainly get you lots of looks on the range, but it’s still a rifle-sized handgun you aim with a camera.

Going Cold

Good ole Gaston Glock would probably find himself in an early grave if he saw how some of you animals treat his creation. Then again, if he didn’t want you to slap Punisher back plates on the gun and the gun in a Roni, he wouldn’t have designed it in such a way. So what kind of abomination would you make your list of craziest Glock accessories?
