Galco is adding an ammo carrier option for the .500 S&W Magnum cartridge. [Galco]The Smith & Wesson 500 is the most powerful production revolver on the market and an ideal big game hunting pistol and backup arm in bear country. There isn’t likely to be a problem that can’t be solved with five rounds of .500 S&W Magnum ammunition. But no one ever wished for less ammo. The Galco 1×5 Ammo Carrier is made of full-grain cowhide and can ride on chest rigs and belts as wide as 1 3/4 inches. It holds five extra rounds of .500 S&W Magnum or .500 Special in individually fitted loops. The rounds are protected from debris and rain by a snap-secured flap that folds over the ammunition. Using it is just as easy as opening the flap, plucking rounds from the carrier, and thumbing them into the cylinder of your revolver.
This new carrier from Galco comes with two Chicago screws to allow for the attachment of the carrier to their Great Alaskan Chest Holster. Otherwise, this ambidextrous option is available in either brown or black leather options with an MSRP of $69.00.
