Seems like Strike Industries is always coming out with something new. This time they’ve added a new lighter weight, lower cost, AR-15 rail to the GRIDLOCK family. With features from its bigger GRIDLOCK brother, this single-piece rail is designed so the user can remove it at home or in the field. According to the company, this feature makes GRIDLOCKs one of just a handful of handguards on the market to make that possible.
How does that work?
With the Patent Pending Quick Rail Detach system, all you have to do is give a simple push and pull of the redesigned QD latch. And just like that, you’re able to adjust the gas block and install/remove your suppressor.
Other features include flip-up back-up iron sights (BUIS), an integrated 360° free swivel QD socket for a 2-point setup, and rear tabs with set screws at the top to help center the top rail to the upper receiver for proper alignment.
The handguard is machined from 6061-T6 aluminum and the barrel nut is machined from 7000 series aluminum which excels in applications that require lightweight and high strength.

GRIDLOK LITE Modularity
This rail is quite modular, offering as many options as any other handguard you can find on the market. You can attach your M-LOK accessories along the length of the rail at 1, 3, 5, 6, 7, 9, and 11.
As for suppressors, the cut in front helps fit cans up to 1.57″ in diameter, and “…of course all SI muzzle devises including the SI OPPRESSOR for those looking for that tucked look.”

Compatibility
The GRIDLOK LITE is compatible with a Mil-Spec M4 upper receiver, but not a piston gas block, some billet/side charging uppers, and the 11″, 15″, 17″ are not compatible with A2 Front Sight Post gas block.
NOTE: The two locking screws at the base can only be easily adjusted when the base is not mounted on the barrel nut. It is NOT RECOMMENDED to adjust the locking tightness when you mount it on barrel nut. An installation video is available.
