The Next Generation Squad Weapon (NGSW) program is well known for moving the military into the future of firearms. This program is replacing the 5.56 NATO-chambered M4, among others, with the 6.8mm. While the U.S. Army already chose Sig Sauer to handle the firearms, they’ve now selected Strike Industries to cover the cable management system for those firearms. Strike Industries is known for producing innovative components for firearms.
Strike Industries states they’re honored to be selected to contribute to the U.S. Military NGSW program. This is a significant achievement and a milestone for the company, in addition to being a testament to the quality of the products. The Strike Industries Cable Management System (CMS) is a carefully designed ecosystem that’s been in development since 2018. The CMS is engineered to solve the issue of having multiple cables from accessories such as flashlights, lasers, and other electronics. However, it doesn’t only hold cables. This device also stores excess cable within itself and serves as a guide for the direction and organization of cables.
More than 20 CMS products have been developed, including handguards, rail covers, vertical grips, angled grips, Picatinny accessories, M-LOK-mounted accessories, and other related components. Strike Industries has received multiple patents for these products with additional patents pending. Within the CMS product line, three products have been chosen after a thorough evaluation process that included extensive testing, which included comparisons with other companies’ products to ensure which product would meet the requirements for performance and reliability required by the U.S. military. The three products are:
- Strike Multidirectional Picatinny Rail Cover with Cable Management
- M-LOK Cable Management Covers (Long)
- M-LOK Cable Management Covers (Short)
MSRP for the Strike Industries Cable Management System varies by specific product.
