SHOT Show 2024: Pulsar Thermal Night Vision Binoculars

The coming darkness isn’t to be feared, as Pulsar has introduced its Merger Duo NXP50. The Merger, a multispectral binocular, combines the power of thermal and digital night vision in a single platform for users to see further, sharper, and under any condition.

The Pulsar Merger Duo NXP50 features an ergonomic design meant to mirror classic daytime binoculars while providing the same comfort and intuitive operation. However, it still goes beyond the limitations of traditional night vision or thermal products, enabling users to seamlessly switch between high-contrast thermal imaging and sharp digital night vision via its 1280×960 AMOLED display.

It also features a 640×480 microbolometer sensor with 17μm pixel pitch and a <25mK NETD that deliver exceptional thermal clarity. The 1920×1200 digital sensor unlocks stunning detail with the ability to see up to 2,000 yards with 3-24x magnification in thermal mode or 2-16x digital magnification in digital night vision mode for versatility in any light conditions. The Merger Duo NXP50 can also pierce through fog, smog, rain, and dense foliage, to reveal warm-blooded creatures at a distance.

The Merger Duo NXP50 offers a PiP (Picture in Picture) mode. PiP mode simultaneously displays both thermal and night vision modes. This dual perspective provides invaluable situational awareness ideal for hunting, wildlife observation, search and rescue, and more. In addition, the Merger Duo NXP50’s removable APS3 Li-Ion battery provides seven hours of runtime. Furthermore, the Merger is IPX7 waterproof rated with a wide operating temperature range of -13 to 122 degrees F.

Pulsar’s Stream Vision 2 app supports the digital thermal binoculars. The Stream Vision 2 app enables live video streaming to any mobile device. Pulsar’s cloud can store high-definition photos and videos captured by the device.
