Debuting this week at SHOT Show in Las Vegas, Canik has announced its newest pistol to its line-up with the TTI Combat. The TTI Combat is the first collaboration with Taran Tactical Innovations and is a major milestone for the industry.
The Canik TTI Combat is a 9mm pistol at the heart, with loads of competitive features that will speak to all shooters. It features a new polymer frame with a competitive mag well and Canik’s diamond cut, aluminum flat-faced trigger with a 90-degree break. Another feature of the competitive pistol is a fluted and ported 4.6-inch barrel, which features a removable barrel compensator with a proprietary lock/unlock system.
The TTI Combat frame has a double-undercut trigger guard to house the aforementioned trigger, aggressive grip texturing, and redesigned interchangeable backstraps. The slide features front and rear cocking serrations for easier manipulations, a custom ported slide in addition to an optics mounting interface perfect for the MeCanik MO3 or Trijicon SRO optic in a low profile view. Also on the Bronze Cerakote over black nitride finished slide is a set of iron sights with an adjustable blacked-out rear notch sight and fiber optic front sight.
“I’ve been following Canik and their progress for many years. From Nils Jonasson winning titles to Canik winning awards for their new designs, it was obvious to me that they were the right company to partner with. This is going to be big,” said TTI founder Taran Butler.
“Our customers will be hard-pressed to find a competition-ready equivalent that meets the aesthetic, functionality, and performance standards of the Canik TTI Combat at this price point. This has been such an exciting collaboration for us, and we couldn’t be prouder of the results,” added Adam Ruonala, Canik’s VP of Business Development & Marketing.
Rounding out the features of the Canik TTI Combat are a serrated ambidextrous slide release, changeable magazine releases, and a Picatinny rail for extra customization for the end user. The pistol comes from Canik with a lot of extras fit for a custom pistol. Items such as a custom TTI Combat holster, two 18-round magazines, a TTI +3 base pad extension, a speed loader, three optic interface plates, three backstrap size options, a cleaning kit, and a tool kit. The pistol also includes a commemorative challenge coin and a custom two-level Canik hard travel case.
There is no word on set pricing yet for the Canik TTI Combat 9mm pistol.
