Taurus G3X Hybrid Compact
The new Taurus G3X represents a design blend of two of Taurus’ more recent semi-auto pistols—the G3 full-size 9mm and the G3C compact 9mm. In listening to consumer input on the company’s popular G3 and G3C handguns, Taurus identified the need for a pistol that is both slim and easily concealed in the spirit of the Taurus G3C yet features higher capacity and a more substantial grip length for shooters with larger hands or who simply prefer a fuller grip without giving up EDC comfort or concealability. The result is the new Taurus G3X in 9x19mm. The Taurus G3X is built on a similar full-size frame as the G3, with a grip width of 1.1 inches and an overall height of 5.2 inches with the included 15-round magazine. This grip is an ergonomic and functional blend of size, backstrap contour, and aggressive stippling that provides the shooter uncompromised control and maximum retention under any shooting condition. The key difference is the overall length of the Taurus G3X. At 6.5 inches, the Taurus G3X is more than three-quarters of an inch shorter than the G3, putting it on par with the compact G3C model and offering a lower profile for concealed carry duty. With its shorter length relative to the full-size Taurus G3, the new G3X is compatible with G3 and G3C T.O.R.O. slide kits. The latter is the perfect upgrade option (available through Taurus USA) for those who wish to install a red dot optic. Taurus Defender 605
Based on the original 605 revolver, Taurus engineers developed the Defender for personal defense practitioners who desire the solid performance and simplicity of a revolver. Chambered for .357 Magnum/.38 Special, this 5-round revolver delivers the reliability and performance demanded in personal defense handgun with several mission-specific features included in this hammer-fired DA/SA platform. The Defender starts with a clean barrel and frame profile for not only comfortable carry but also for smooth draw and re-holstering from IWB or OWB positions. Last year, Magpul announced a partnership with ZEV Technologies to bring to life the folding concept gun that deploys from a simple, storage case form factor into a large-format pistol or short barrel pistol caliber carbine depending on configuration. Our FDP-9 chassis, paired with a proprietary variant of the ZEV OZ9 operating system, forms the Folding Defensive Pistol-9 (FDP-9), and is officially classified and intended to be fired and used as a handgun, which means you will be able to buy it just like any other handgun from an FFL dealer. The Folding Defensive Carbine-9 (FDC-9) will be available as an NFA-classified short barrel rifle including a different rear cover with a buttstock section. Mossberg has expanded its MC2 lineup with a new Micro-Compact 9mm called the MC2sc. Standard Manufacturing SG9
The SG9 chassis is precision machined from a solid block of 4140 steel. The slide and barrel are also precision machined from 4140 steel in the factory. The glass reinforced polymer frame is also manufactured in-house and offers the highest degree of strength and ergonomics. Included with the SG9 are several backstraps which can be easily changed to accommodate shooters with various hand sizes. The firing mechanism on the SG9 has been specifically designed to provide a reliable and smooth trigger pull while lowering the bore axis for the lowest possible amount of felt recoil. The slide engages the chassis of the gun with full-length rails to provide a smooth action and maintain the precise alignment of the barrel, slide, and frame for the highest possible degree of shooting accuracy. Fully ambidextrous slide stop and safety, and the magazine release can be switched quickly to accommodate a right- or left-handed shooter. The SG9 features a cocking indicator on the back of the slide which can be positively and quickly seen by the shooter. All the major components such as the frame, chassis, slide, and barrel are manufactured in-house in the state-of-the-art machining work cells, utilizing the most sophisticated and precise machinery in the industry. The engineering, assembly, quality control, and testing are all encapsulated under one roof at the Standard Manufacturing Center of Excellence. Stoeger Industries continues to expand its popular STR-9 series 9mm pistols with the 2022 introduction of the all-new STR-9F, the first full-size 9mm semi-auto in the STR-9 pistol lineup. The new striker-fired STR-9F has an overall length of 7.95 inches and a 4.68-inch barrel. The extended sight radius combines with the STR-9F’s precision barrel and Nitride-treated machined slide assembly to deliver the kind of accuracy shooters would expect from handguns priced twice as much. Overall weight is 26.4 ounces. The contoured grip with finger grooves and the aggressive stippling patches ensures a comfortable grip for quick sight alignment and easy follow-up shots. Stoeger STR-9C Compact Optic Ready
The new STR-9C Compact Optic Ready comes from the factory machined to accept several of the more popular red dot optics on the market today. Built to the same standards as the original STR-9C Compact, the STR-9C Compact Optic Ready features a factory optic-cut slide with four included mounting plates to accommodate the most common optic mounting patterns. With this system, installing a red dot sight is an easy DIY project that doesn’t require the services of a gunsmith. The gun is built on a polymer frame that includes a medium backstrap that provides a comfortable, ergonomic fit for most hand sizes. The Nitride-treated slide is precision-machined with aggressive front and rear serrations for easy slide manipulation in any condition. Other features include a 3.8-inch barrel, tactile loaded-chamber indicator, snag-resistant three-dot sights, left- or right-hand magazine release positioning, and an integrated accessory rail. The new STR-9SC Sub-Compact series is based on the original STR-9 introduced in 2019. Featuring an ergonomic polymer frame and striker-fired semi-auto action, the STR-9SC Sub-Compact, and STR-9SC Sub-Compact Optic-Ready deliver performance benchmarks that exceed their low MSRP. The receiver is made of fiberglass-reinforced polymer with steel inserts for an ideal blend of lightweight and strength. The slide’s Nitride finish minimizes wear during IWB or OWB carry and resists rust and corrosion and has aggressive front and rear slide serrations. SCCY CPX-9 Gen III
The Gen III is the latest update to the SCCY CPX double action only subcompact pistol. There are two versions, the CPX-1, which has a safety, and the CPX-2, which does not. The CPX-1 has had the ambidextrous safety updated for easier access. Both models have also received other upgrades. SCCY has reduced the grip size for a more natural feel and gotten rid of the finger grooves. A Picatinny rail has been added to the frame, so the guns are now more versatile. The slide has a new profile, losing the octagonal shape of previous models. The guns now feature Glock 43-cut non-proprietary dovetailed sights, again, providing more versatility. Finally, SCCY has replaced the old polymer triggers, which tended to wear out, with new metal triggers for greater durability. Diamondback Sidekick
This new cowboy-styled gun is chambered for both .22 Long Rifle and .22 Magnum and ships with an easily swapped out 9-shot cylinder for each. The cylinders swing out, making for easy loading and unloading. The cylinders are also recessed, meaning the firing pin won’t be damaged if you accidentally dry fire it. The gun can be fired in double action or single action mode and the features a transfer bar safety. The Sidekick is finished in black Cerakote and comes with checkered polymer grip panels. Just announced at SHOT Show, Palmetto State Armory is releasing a new pistol chambered in 5.7x28mm called “The Rock.” The standard model will have an MSRP of $499, while an RMR optics cut version with a threaded barrel will list at $549. Laugo Arms Alien Retro

B&T SPC 9mm Series
Built, as are all B&T products, at the request of a “professional entity,” the SPC9 series features AR-15 controls with a non-reciprocating forward charging handle similar to the MP5. There will be five different upper configurations, 9 and 4.5-inch barrels, new 3-lug suppressor adapters, and an integral suppressor version with a 4.5-inch barrel. There will be three lower receiver options accepting B&T, Glock, or Sig Sauer P320 magazines. The guns are blowback operated with a hydraulic buffer system. Recoil is very flat and very mild, being compared to that of a pellet gun with almost no muzzle flip. CAA AGADA Pistol Caliber Carbine
The AGADA is a revolutionary, innovative and ultimately ergonomic rifle, designed by LTC (Ret.) Mikey Hartman, CEO of CAA USA. AGADA (pronounced Ah-Ga-Dah) means “Legend” in Hebrew, and its unique design is a first to radically alter the traditional standards of how a rifle is constructed and instead, facilitates a natural and ergonomic hold that will increase accuracy and consistency for any shooter at any level. Designed and manufactured in Pompano Beach, Florida by CAA USA, the AGADA is born from Hartman’s 22-years of experience serving in the Israeli Defense Force (IDF) and training over a half a million soldiers. Angstadt Arms MDP-9 Pistol Caliber Carbine
The MDP-9 is part of the growing trend of roller delayed action PCCs, as opposed to a gas or blowback system. The gun features AR-15 style fire controls but has a forward reversible non-reciprocating charging handle reminiscent of the MP5. There is no buffer tube thanks to the action, but a Picatinny rail allows the attachment of a stock or brace. The MDP-9 takes Glock magazines.

A hemispherical firing pin offers improved reliability with rimfire ammunition. Composite upper receiver assembly is molded in a matching Tungsten color and features an integrated Picatinny optics rail. Winchester Xpert The new Xpert is a lightweight bolt-action package based on the autoloading Wildcat. Chambered in 22 LR, the Xpert features a precision Rimfire M.O.A. Trigger, button-rifled barrel with Bentz-style chamber and recessed target crown and lightweight polymer stock. Features include the new Rimfire M.O.A. Trigger. Like the trigger found in Model 70 and XPR rifles, the Rimfire M.O.A. Trigger is a three-lever design with zero creep, zero take-up and zero-over travel for a light pull that the company says, “breaks like glass.” A hemispherical firing pin offers improved reliability with rimfire ammunition. An adjustable rear sight and blade front sight are included, and the steel receiver is also drilled and tapped to accept scope mounts. Dark Storm Industries DS-25 Typhoon Standard .308 Rifle
Dark Storm Industries has created an AR-10 on an AR-15 platform. Using a proprietary new barrel, bolt carrier, and buffer system, with everything else being mil-spec AR-15 parts, the DS-25 Typhoon comes in at 6.7 pounds. It’s chambered in .308 Winchester but has a felt recoil similar to a 5.56 or 6.5 Grendel rifle. The rifle has been in testing for eighteen months to work problems. One obvious problem area would be extractors breaking, but Dark Storm says they have overcome that. Harrington & Richardson M16A1
Harrington & Richardson, one of the manufacturers of the original M16A1 rifle, is bringing back a semi-automatic clone of the rifle later this year. They will offer a 20-inch barrel with the A1 furniture with a 20-inch barrel and a 12.7-inch pencil barrel, both with a birdcage flash hider. The 12.7-inch barrel will also be available with a pinned and welded Vietnam era CAR flash hider and grenade ring. Both those barrels will have a 1:12 twist rate. There will also be a 14.7-inch pencil barrel, pinned and welded to mimic the late 1980s style carbines with a 1:7 twist. All barrels will be chrome lined and Parkerized. The Bullshark’s groundbreaking bullpup configuration combined with an integrated suppressor, virtually no recoil, and Olympic-grade accuracy (using premium pellets) delivers a whole new level of compact handling, maneuverability, and performance. Palmetto State Armory AK Pattern Rifles in 5.56mm
PSA announced that they will be producing their AK100 series (all but the AK107) in 5.56mm. These rifles will have traditional AK controls and will be available in a variety of configurations, including with a side folding trunnion to accommodate an SBR setup. PSA will also offer a hybrid rifle that looks like an AK and have AK controls but will also include an AR-15 button magazine release alongside an enhanced AK paddle release. That rifle will be setup to take Magpul P-Mags and will have a last round hold open feature. All the guns will have an improved 4 position gas block standard. The AT-X is the first rifle designed by Accuracy International for competition as opposed to combat. The AT-X is a modular system with an action identical to that of the AT and AX platforms. It adds an AI 2-stage competition trigger with an installed heavy spring (1.5-2.75 lbs.) and an included light spring (12 oz-1.5 lbs.) that can be installed by the user. Umarex Primal 20: 20-Gauge Slug Airgun
The Primal 20 utilizes a special 20-gauge slug that is fitted with a plastic ‘wad” that acts as the seal in the barrel. Both the slug and the installed Invector choke are rifled to ensure excellent accuracy. The 395-grain slug leaves the barrel at 700 feet per second, generating 430 foot/pounds of energy. Magpul/Maztech X4 System
The Magpul Maztech partnership’s first product is a rounds remaining system combining the Gen 3 Magpul PMAG and Maztech’s advanced electronics systems capability. The X4 system will allow a magazine to accurately read the current capacity of a magazine in any condition and communicate that information to a weapon-mounted display, integrated common use applications, on-gun information displays, compatible visual augmentation systems, and other future products still being developed. The intent is to have the ability to roll up the ammunition status and supply of an individual user all the way up through the various levels of operation. The rounds-remaining system is just one component item to the larger Maztech X4 suite of integrated products. The X4 suite is a family of multiple independent systems that communicate with the shooter (and others if needed) to build situational awareness on the target area and weapon status. It provides secure communications capability with Bluetooth, Near Field Communication and Ultra-Wideband systems. Along with the Round Counter, the X4-Fire Control System (X4-FCS) is in final development. The X4-FCS provides sensor fusion in an LPVO, with multiple inputs from around the firearm all fusing together in one visual presentation in the optic. Other systems on the X4 roadmap that integrate into the FCS include having the ability to actively select different inputs and displays, target ranging and illumination, and enhanced visual awareness for the shooter (and others synchronized into the secure system). Kel-Tec Stock Kit for the P50 Pistol Caliber Carbine
Kel-Tec’s P50 PCC in 5.7x28mm has proven popular so the company has just introduced a folding stock kit to make it more shootable. The P50 doesn’t have an obvious attachment point for a stock, so the kit attaches it to the grip. When in the folded and locked position, the stock can double as a foregrip. The P50 stock kit will list at about $300. It will be available fourth quarter of 2022 ONLY as a direct purchase from Kel-Tec. Hiper Fire X-AK Trigger and Safety Series for AK Pattern Rifles
The new X-AK series will provide a clean and consistent trigger pull across the range of AK rifles. The triggers will fit and work in most AKs without the need for filing or Dremeling. The triggers will come with a matched enhanced selector switch that is easier to use but still positive in each position. There are three models in the X-AK line: the Mark I is a curved trigger with a mil-grade magphos coating; the Mark II is flat with mil-grade magphos coating; and the Mark II is flat with a nickel boron coating. The company says the Mark III will feel “more broken in out of the box.” Each selector switch has the same finish as the trigger with which it’s paired. This Model 700 action will be compatible with any Remington 700 stock or chassis. It features an integrated barrel lug and is compatible with Remington 700 triggers. Streamlight introduced a new laser model of its ultra-compact TLR-6 rail-mounted weapon light to fit the Taurus GX4 micro-compact handgun. The light uses a bright white LED to deliver 100 lumens and 2,000 candelas over a beam distance of 89 meters and features a parabolic reflector that produces a balance of beam and peripheral illumination. It’s also equipped with a 640-660nm red laser. There are three lighting modes: LED only, LED/laser and laser only, with operating run times of one hour for LED only and LED/laser modes, and 11 hours for the laser only mode. The TLR-6 for the Taurus GX4 is powered by two (2) 3-volt CR-1/3N lithium coin batteries. It features an integrated battery door that permits batteries to be replaced while the light remains mounted on the gun, eliminating the need to re-sight the laser after a battery change. Streamlight introduced a new model of its TLR-7 sub weapon-mounted tactical light, designed to fit the Springfield Armory Hellcat handgun. The light features an LED that delivers 5,000 candela and 500 lumens over a beam distance of 141 meters. Its custom TIR optic produces a concentrated beam that provides both extensive range as well as optimized peripheral coverage. It offers two lighting modes, LED only and LED strobe, each with a run time of 1.5 hours. The light is energized by a single 3-volt CR123A lithium battery. The new TLR-7 sub model features a one-handed, snap on and tighten interface that keeps hands away from gun muzzles when attaching or detaching them.
