SHOT 24: Ed Brown to Unveil Limited 1911 Handgun Models

Renowned for their innovation of 1911s, Ed Brown’s new model promises to be the ultimate in concealed carry. Their latest 1911 model, the EVO CCO9, is an Officer-sized handgun the company created specifically to be a streamlined, user-friendly, high-quality carry gun. The EVO CCO9 is both aesthetically pleasing and made for a purpose and offers a bevy of features to recommend it to gun owners. Also new from Ed Brown is the CCO, another compact pistol designed to facilitate concealed carry.

Ed Brown Products has been a leader in the custom 1911 market for more than half a century. Accordingly, they’re pleased to announce two new handguns just in time for SHOT 2024: the EVO CCO9 and CCO. The EVO CCO9 is a 9mm 1911 meant for self-defense use. Furthermore, it’s the company’s smallest and thinnest 1911 offered so far. Built on a compact Officer’s frame, the pistol features a round butt magazine housing and grip safety created specifically for concealed carry.

EVO CCO9 features include:

  • 9mm chambering
  • Thin 4-inch slide for easier concealment
  • Compact (Officers) frame for a smaller overall profile
  • Snakeskin texture on forestrap and mainspring housing for a sure grip during live fire
  • External extractor

  • Smaller Tactical Edge U-notch rear sight with orange HDXR front sight for rapid target acquisition

Built on a compact-sized frame, the Ed Brown CCO has 7+1 capacity.

CCO features include:

  • 45 ACP chambering
  • 4.25-inch Commander-sized slide for comfortable carry
  • Compact (Officers) Frame with Round Butt to reduce printing
  • Snakeskin texture on forestrap and mainspring housing for a secure hold even with wet or sweaty hands
  • Ed Brown’s Concealed Carry Beavertail Grip Safety for reduced risk of snagging and also for comfort
  • Single-sided carry profile thumb safety
  • Flush barrel with recessed crown
  • Black Cherry G10 grips for a nice contrast with the silver of the frame

Ed Brown will be displaying these two new guns at SHOT along with parts and accessories for the S&W® M&P 2.0®. At this time, Ed Brown’s website has the EVO CCO9 and CCO priced at $2,995 and $3,345, respectively.
